Description

Takamaka’s instructors kit you out from head to toe — bike, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads — and teach you the basic downhill techniques. We alternate between technical sections and flowing descents, far from the tarmac and the traffic. Equipment provided, beginners welcome — all you need to do is let the slope carry you all the way down to the foot of La Clusaz village.

Comfortable clothing suited to mountain sport activity is recommended. In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, Takamaka adapts the programme or proposes an alternative. The activity takes place on Aravis massif trails — closed-toe shoes required. Participants must have no medical contraindications to cycling.

How the activity works

1

Equipment & Technical Briefing

Our instructors kit you out and teach you the basics — position, braking and line reading. Within minutes, even complete beginners tackle the first slopes with confidence.
2

Initiation & First Runs

The first runs are all about finding your feet — balance, speed and technical sections over roots and rocks. Every participant progresses at their own pace with personalised guidance.
3

The Big Aravis Descents

Time for the big lines — rolling trails, dense forests and massif panoramas. We alternate between technical sections and flowing descents for a progressive adrenaline build.
4

The Full Descent to the Village

The final descent from the heights of the Aravis all the way down to the foot of La Clusaz village — the highlight of the day. A memorable arrival and guaranteed collective pride.
