Description

HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS — AN OLYMPIAD IN THE HEART OF THE ARAVIS!

The Briefing & Team Formation

After a general briefing and introduction to your qualified guides, teams are distributed across the different challenge stands. The Plateau des Confins becomes your Olympic playground — let the competition begin!

Snowshoe Orienteering — The Unifying Thread!

Travel between the different stands is done on Canadian snowshoes along a pre-established loop through the natural setting of the Plateau des Confins. This snowshoe progression is both a pleasure in itself — discovering the snowy alpine landscape, breathing the pure Aravis air, listening to the silence of fresh snow — and the coherent link between every stand throughout the day.

The Challenges — A Rich Programme for Every Profile!

Teams compete at each selected stand and aim to achieve the best possible performance to accumulate maximum points. Every victory counts — and the final ranking can come down to just a handful of points!

The Ranking & Prize-Giving Ceremony

At the end of the challenge, an official team ranking is established and the prize-giving ceremony closes this exceptional day in the best possible atmosphere — laughter, stories of the finest moments and genuine collective pride!

Fully bespoke programme — Takamaka selects the challenges best suited to your group, level and objectives to guarantee a perfectly balanced day of sport, fun and conviviality.

FAQ — LA CLUSAZ SNOW CHALLENGE

Where does the Snow Challenge take place?
The Snow Challenge takes place on the Plateau des Confins, 10 minutes from La Clusaz. This exceptional natural setting — one of the finest snow-covered plateaus in the Aravis massif — provides an idyllic backdrop for a winter team building day: stunning scenery, authentic winter atmosphere and sporting activities all combined in one spectacular location.

Do participants need snowshoeing experience?
Not at all! Canadian snowshoes are very easy to pick up — a few minutes is all it takes to feel comfortable. They are provided by Takamaka and your qualified guides deliver a technical briefing before departure. The activity is accessible to everyone, including complete beginners.

Are the challenges accessible to all fitness levels?
Yes! The diversity of the available challenges — biathlon, snow sculpture, human curling, igloo building, tasting — ensures every profile gets their moment to shine. Less sporty participants often excel in the creative or strategic challenges, while the most athletic thrive on the physical ones.

How long does the Snow Challenge last?
The Snow Challenge runs over a half-day (approximately 3 to 4 hours), including briefing and prize-giving. It fits perfectly into a full winter seminar day at La Clusaz, combined for example with a mountain refuge lunch or a sledge descent in the evening.

Can the challenges be personalised to our preferences?
Absolutely! Takamaka selects and adapts the challenges based on your group's profile, objectives and wishes. Certain challenges can be adjusted in terms of duration or difficulty to guarantee the most memorable experience possible.

What equipment is provided by Takamaka?
All the equipment needed for the challenges — rifles for the biathlon and shooting, snow sculpture materials, sledges, ARVA equipment, etc. Participants should bring warm, waterproof clothing suited to the winter conditions of the Plateau des Confins.

Is there a refreshment stop during the challenge?
Yes! To maintain energy and warmth throughout the challenge, Takamaka organises a refreshment stop at the starting stand — hot drinks and sweet treats to face the Aravis mountain air in the best possible conditions.
