Magic Academy La Clusaz

What if your colleagues became magicians for an evening? The Magic Academy is a participatory workshop run by a professional magician — every participant learns a magic or mentalism routine, practises it, masters it and performs it in a final show in front of the whole group. Hilarious, unifying and deeply original — the Magic Academy is the most unexpected evening animation in the Takamaka La Clusaz catalogue.

Description

The Magic Academy unfolds in three phases. First, an opening show where the professional magician sets the scene and the tone — wonder and curiosity guaranteed. Then the workshop: in small groups, every team learns a magic or mentalism routine under the magician’s guidance — cards, coins, psychology, optical illusions. Each routine is filmed so that every participant leaves with the video of their performance as a souvenir. Finally, the grand show — every group performs their routine in front of all the guests. The animation takes place at your hotel or restaurant in La Clusaz, with no particular technical installation — the Takamaka magician comes with all the necessary material.

Good to know

The Magic Academy requires no particular technical installation — the Takamaka magician comes with all the necessary material (cards, coins, accessories, filming equipment). The workshop works equally well during dinner or as an afternoon animation during a seminar day. The routines taught are adapted to the profile and confidence of each group — no need to be particularly dexterous to succeed !

How the activity works

1

The Opening Show & The Surprise Effect

The magician opens the evening with a close-up magic show — cards, coins and mentalism just centimetres from your guests’ eyes. The wonder is immediate, the curiosity piqued. After a few routines, the whole group wants to understand — and the workshop can begin.
2

Small Group Training

Participants split into small groups. The magician teaches a different routine to each group — they move from group to group, answer questions, correct gestures and encourage the less confident. In 30 to 40 minutes, every group has mastered their routine and is ready to perform it.
3

Rehearsals & Filming

Each group rehearses their routine and films it — the magician guides the framing and staging to make the video as impressive as possible. A moment of team bonding and teamwork before the grand final show.
4

The Grand Show & Video Hand-Over

The big moment — every group performs their routine in front of all the guests. Successes astound, laughter erupts and applause is heartfelt. After the show, every participant receives the video of their performance — the most original and most personal souvenir of a La Clusaz seminar evening.

FAQ

Do participants need to be dexterous to learn a magic routine ?

Not at all. The routines taught at the Magic Academy are selected to be accessible to everyone — with a little practice and the magician’s guidance, everyone gets there. The least confident participants are often the ones who give the best performances at the final show !

Can the Magic Academy be combined with other animations ?

Yes. The Magic Academy works perfectly as the first part of the evening, before dinner or a Quiz Buzzer. It can also be organised as an afternoon animation during a seminar day.

Is the animation suited to large groups?

Yes — the Magic Academy accommodates up to 60 participants, split into small groups so that everyone benefits from the magician’s attention and advice throughout the workshop.

How do we book ?
