Description

A high-energy descent where you’ll progressively discover the most celebrated rapids on the Isère — the Jambon Slicer, the Maiden’s Leap — on one of France’s finest rafting runs. 23 km with no prior experience, alternating technical rapids and quieter stretches. For those seeking greater thrills, hydrospeed puts you right in the heart of the rapids on an individual float, for an even more immersive experience. Takamaka professionals at your service to make sure sport stays fun.

🚣 Rafting — Working as a Team on the Raft!

On board an 8-person raft, your teams paddle together to take on the Isère rapids. Cohesion, synchronisation and guaranteed laughter — rafting is the most festive and most unifying white water incentive in the catalogue.

🏄 Hydrospeed — Get up close to the rapids!

On an individual float, kitted out with a wetsuit and helmet, you take on the rapids in direct contact with the river. More intense, more physical, more immersive — hydrospeed is the most committed white water experience in the catalogue. Accessible from age 14.

Transport from La Clusaz to the Isère site needs to be arranged — Takamaka can organise the logistics on request.

How the activity works

1

Equipment & Briefing

Arrival on the banks of the Isère, participants are kitted out — wetsuit, helmet, buoyancy aid, paddle. Our guides deliver the technical briefing: paddling techniques, raft positioning, safety instructions in case of a fall. Everyone is ready within minutes.
2

Launch & First Rapids

Off we go — the descent begins! The first rapids allow everyone to find their feet and build the collective rhythm in the raft. The atmosphere builds naturally from the very first paddle strokes.
3

The Isère’s Legendary Rapids

The Jambon Slicer, the Maiden’s Leap — the Isère’s most celebrated rapids follow one another across the 23 km descent. Adrenaline, splashes and guaranteed laughter. The Isère offers one of France’s finest rafting runs — and Takamaka makes sure you enjoy every second of it.
4

Arrival & Debrief

End of the descent, equipment removed and collective debrief on the riverbank. A convivial moment to relive the finest sequences — and already start planning the next descent.
