Description
Takamaka organises your fondue in the great outdoors, on fondue trees set up at a site chosen according to your wishes and the access option selected. The location is picked for its beauty, accessibility and the magic it provides — a snowy clearing in winter, a wildflower alpage in summer. Savoyard fondue is at the heart of the meal, complemented as you wish by a charcuterie and tomato aperitif, drinks of your choice and a fruit tart for dessert (blueberry, apple or other seasonal fruits). Day or evening, the experience can be enriched with a génépi-making workshop or a sledge descent to close the adventure in style.

Warm, waterproof clothing is essential for the winter version. For the summer version, bring clothing suited to mountain hiking. Snowshoes are provided by Takamaka for the winter version. The site is selected by Takamaka based on your wishes, the season and the chosen access. We always choose an exceptional location in the Aravis massif — snowy clearing, alpine meadow or forest — to guarantee a memorable experience.
Is the fondue available in summer ?
Yes — access is on foot along the Aravis trails and the fondue is enjoyed in an equally magical summer setting. The fondue trees work in every season.
Can the fondue take place in the evening?
Yes. The Alpine Fondue works equally well as a daytime or evening experience. In the evening, the nocturnal Aravis atmosphere adds an extra magical dimension.
Can the génépi and sledge options be combined ?
Yes! Both options combine perfectly for an even more complete experience — génépi-making during the meal and a sledge descent on the way back.
Is the activity accessible to less sporty participants ?
Yes. Ski lift access is available for groups whose profile does not suit a hike — with no compromise on the beauty of the site or the quality of the experience.
