Description

The snowmobile raid takes place from the Les Saisies domain, 50 minutes from La Clusaz, from 4:30-5pm as the slopes close. After a ten-minute briefing from our qualified instructors, you head out for 50 minutes of effective riding on two-person Yamaha snowmobiles — ski slopes and off-piste alternate for a varied and intense experience. Halfway through, drivers and passengers swap. At the end of the raid, the evening continues over a typical Savoyard dinner — the perfect close to an extraordinary adventure in the Alps.

Good to know

Bring a hat, warm clothing, gloves and mountain boots — speed accentuates the feeling of cold. Transport from La Clusaz to Les Saisies needs to be arranged — Takamaka can organise the logistics on request. Snowmobile driving is accessible from age 16.

Arrival at Les Saisies & Equipment

Arrival at the Les Saisies domain as the slopes close — the magical hour when the skiers have gone and the slopes are all yours. The Yamaha snowmobiles are ready, equipment distributed, the atmosphere is electric.

The Briefing

In around ten minutes, our qualified instructors walk you through the riding — starting, acceleration, braking, turning. The snowmobile is intuitive and easy to get to grips with — you’ll feel comfortable from the very first seconds.

The Raid — 50 Minutes of Freedom

Off for 25 km on and off the slopes of the Les Saisies domain — 500cc engines, extraordinary speed and acceleration sensations, Mont Blanc as the backdrop. Halfway through, drivers and passengers swap. A timeless adventure, at sunset or under the stars.

Return to La Clusaz, helmets off and adrenaline still very much alive. Not at all. The Yamaha snowmobile is intuitive and easy to get to grips with. After a ten-minute briefing, everyone is confident and ready to head out onto the Les Saisies slopes.

What is the minimum age?

Snowmobile driving is accessible from age 16. Under this age, participation as a passenger is possible.

How many people per snowmobile?

The snowmobiles are approved for two people — one driver and one passenger. Halfway through, the two swap so that everyone gets to drive.

Is transport from La Clusaz organised?

The Les Saisies domain is 50 minutes by road from La Clusaz. Takamaka can organise transport logistics on request — contact us to include it in your programme.

Is the activity supervised?

Yes. One qualified instructor supervises 6 snowmobiles throughout the raid. Yamaha equipment is approved, maintained and checked before every outing.
