A category B driving license is required, and the minimum age is 18 — passengers can participate from age 8. Bring full ski gear and waterproof boots. Helmets are provided on site. Praz de Lys is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes from Annecy — snow tires or chains are mandatory in winter. No late arrivals will be accepted.

What is the difference between snowmobiling in Praz de Lys and in Les Saisies?
Snowmobiling in Praz de Lys takes place exclusively on groomed trails (an 8 km circuit) in a secluded forest setting—ideal for a peaceful first experience. In Les Saisies, the circuit is longer (25 km), combining groomed and off-trail riding, with views of Mont Blanc. If you're looking for a more intense adventure, choose Les Saisies. If you prefer a more leisurely, contemplative ride through nature, choose Praz de Lys.
Can two people ride on a snowmobile ?
Yes — Lynx snowmobiles are approved for two passengers. When riding two-up, you can alternate driver and passenger halfway through the ride. If you each prefer your own machine, choose the solo option.
Do you need a category B driving licence to drive ?
Yes, a Class B driver's license is required to drive a snowmobile, and the minimum age is 18. To be a passenger, the minimum age is 8 — no license is required in this case.
What time do the sessions take place ?
The sessions start as soon as the slopes close, from 5:30pm in December-January-March and 6pm during the February holidays. The sessions end at 9pm.
Is Praz de Lys far from Annecy?
Praz de Lys (Haute-Savoie) is approximately a 1 hour 20 minute drive from Annecy. Transportation is not included. In winter, a vehicle equipped with snow tires or chains is mandatory to access the resort — allow extra time in case of winter conditions.
